The Trail of Faith is a series of exhibits that recall the passion and determination of the area’s early Waldensian settlers. Buildings, caves and monuments document the history and journey of the Waldensian people from northern Italy to North Carolina. From a scaled version of Barbi College, where the Waldensians memorized the Bible, to a cave representing the ones where they hid to worship to homes like they built when the they first arrived in Burke County, the Trail of Faith is a scaled replica of significant events in the persecution and migration of the faithful and string Waldensian people.
